About the training

Legal Aid NSW has developed a set of training materials for domestic and family violence specialist workers on the new coercive control offence.

Introduction to coercive control module

This is an eLearning course on the fundamentals of coercive control and the new legislation developed for domestic and family violence specialist workers.

  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Content warning: This course looks at domestic violence and coercive control, including emotional abuse, physical and sexual violence and other forms of controlling behaviour. You will be presented with client case studies which may be distressing.

Coercive control: what do domestic and family violence specialist workers need to know recorded webinar

This recorded webinar focuses on how new laws will affect the day-to-day work of domestic and family violence specialist workers, featuring the following speakers:
